As good readers we are working on retelling the book we read using story elements. Last quarter we focused on building good habits and then tackling the tricky parts. This unit we will be focusing on connecting with characters. This past week we filled out graphic organizers for character, setting, problem, and solution. This week,
students will read and retell narrative text with a special emphasis on characters. Students will focus on characters’ actions in isolated parts of the book and as a pattern throughout a story. | |
